Low operational costs

Life cycle costs represent one of the key factors in the decision making process in any new aircraft acquisition.

The new generation SportCruiser has the lowest opera- tional costs in its class and can provide considerable benefits to flight school operations when compared to older or different categories of aircraft. Our ongoing modernization process, integration of up-to-date technologies and highly competitive acquisition cost the SportCruiser a very attractive option for all user groups.

Easy maintenance

Due to the intelligent construction of the aircraft coupled with smart design elements and applied technologies, the SportCruiser is perceived by the operators as a very easy maintainable aircraft. The simplified maintenance procedures make the SportCruiser an ideal solution specifically for flight schools and operators of large fleets.

Solid and reliable structure

Czech Sport Aircraft currently holds both Production Organisation Approval (Part 21) and Design Organisation Approval (Part 21) issued by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The company‘s technological excellence, long term experience and dedication to innovation make Czech Sport Aircraft a leader in the Light Sport Aircraft segment of the present General Aviation market. Thanks to the all-metal structure, selected materials and modern processes involved in the production of the SportCruiser, the aircraft is a very solid and reliable air vehicle perfectly suited to highly frequent exploitation in the flight training role.

Most spacious & refined cockpit in its class

The SportCruiser boasts by far the most spacious and ergonomic cockpit in its class and a level of comfort and refinement that is second to none. The first-class choice of fabric and leather upholstery, advanced on-board climate control and defogging systems together with the easy control and high endurance of the aircraft provide for the SportCruiser being widely recognized as also a true cross-country aircraft.

THE NEW BENCHMARK FOR FLIGHT TRAINING

Current statistics show that over 50% of aircraft built by Czech Sport Aircraft are used by flight schools and air clubs in the basic and advanced training role as well as for time building. The PS-28 Cruiser has brought new possibilities and a breath of fresh air to the European flight training market since obtaining EASA type certification in April 2012. Since then the aircraft has already achieved noticeable success and is currently used in many European countries training the pilots of tomorrow. This modern state-of-the-art aircraft provides significant operational benefits to flight training organizations and air clubs as well as it offers attractive modern alternative for the new generation of pilots when compared to the aging training fleets across Europe. The excellent flight characteristics of the aircraft and its robust construction are perfectly suited to entry-level students and this makes the PS-28 Cruiser the ideal platform for training purposes. Due to the highest standards of safety, superior performance, easy maintenance and low through-life operating costs the PS-28 Cruiser has quickly established itself as the new benchmark for flight training throughout Europe.

BASIC DESIGN

The PS-28 Cruiser is a double-seat aircraft of full metal construction. The aircraft is arranged as a low wing mono-plane with cantilevered wings and a conventional empennage.

WING

The wing is a cantilever wing designed in two pieces. Each wing is attached by 6 shear bolts to the wing centre section. A fuel tank is located in each wing with a capacity of 57 litres. A unique storage compartment is also located in each wing with a capacity of 10kg per compartment. The wing tip is constructed from carbon-glass laminate. The wing is equipped with slotted flaps and ailerons. The right aileron is fitted with electrical trim.

TAILPLANE

The tailplane is formed by a stabilizer and elevator. The elevator is full balanced by horn balance and is equipped with a trim tab controlled by electrical servo.

FUSELAGE

The fuselage is designed as a conventional metal semi-monocoque structure. The cockpit frame and cover frame are made from a carbon glass fibre construction. The undercarriage is attached directly to the channel on the fuselage base.

POWER SUPPLY

The aircraft is powered by 12V electrical power.

COCKPIT

The PS-28 Cruiser boasts the most spacious and ergonomic cockpit in the Light Sport Aircraft category. The cockpit has front-up-opened cover and two side sliding windows. All windows are made from Plexiglass. Located to the rear of the pilot seats is a spacious baggage compartment.

The cockpit is equipped with an instrument panel holding all instruments in 3 separate panels. Individual control sticks and pedals provide the flight controls for both seats. The throttle is positioned on the centre console and the wheel brakes are located on the pedals.
